Just Thinking ~
Every day I am surrounded by lots of creativity. I live in a community of writers, artists, entertainers and folks who express themselves through sports; whether golf, maybe tennis. It's a great atmosphere to be part of.
We all have something that excites us, gets our heart beating faster when we do it. SO… What if we were to find our gift and share it with the world, what if we started by sharing it with our community? That’s all we can do really is just change our immediate surroundings.
So why not?
Find your gift and share it with your community ~
Build a platform and change the world.

Today's Grateful Moment...
Today I was driving down our main street here in Henderson. As I was sitting at a red light, I noticed a woman walking across the street with a small bag of groceries. The bag broke open and out rolled an apple, and a couple of cans.
The driver in the car next to me went through the red light and pulled over to the side. Running out into the middle of the… mind you busy work-day traffic, put her hand up to alert everyone to just wait.
She assisted the lady over to the other side and then went back out to the middle of the street. The light turned green as she gathered up the groceries. Nobody moved, no one was bothered or seemed inconvenienced as this young girl, maybe 19? 20? walked back across to the woman with her groceries held close to her chest.
I am so grateful to have witnessed such a moment.
It’s a wonderful life, filled with lots of beautiful people.

Be True to Yourself....
There is something that sits way down deep inside that rises up each morning to greet me. It is holy; it is the one and only sacred gene in my body. It is mine to protect and keep safe for it confirms me. It’s no secret; I wear it, I speak it, I dwell within it. What is your one holy treasure that sustains you day after day?
Let Your Life Speak
Have you ever found yourself reading a book with such enjoyment, hanging onto every word at times or coming across phrases that you go back and re-read, feeling the sacredness of the impact it is having on you? Have you ever read the last word in a book not knowing you were on the last page? I did just that with the book “Let Your Life Speak” by Parker J. Palmer.
I am so sad to come to the end of this book. I looked at the cover and turned it over to read the back again like we so often do after finishing a good book and I am left feeling as though I just said good-bye to someone, wanting to shout out, "Wait! One more kiss, just one more hug."
There is only one thing left for me to do. I shall open up to the first page and begin again. Thank You Parker J. Palmer.

Such an Empowering Thought...
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our dark that frightens us. We ask
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won’t feel insecure around you. We are meant to shine, as children do.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others." Marianne Williamson

Poet's Cottage
Henry David Thoreau wrote in a cabin on Walden Pond,
George Bernard Shaw wrote in what he called
his Writing Hut that he built at the bottom of his
garden.
I write in my casita that I call A Poet's Cottage.
It's surrounded by Shamrock plants, Geraniums and
Ferns, birds that fly from branch to branch singing on
the big tree in the courtyard, and lots of morning
sunlight. What more could a writer ask for?
